Booking Terms and Conditions
Booking Terms & Conditions
Effective date: July 16, 2026
These Booking Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to every booking made with Yachtic World LLC ("Yachtic World," "we," "us"), whether for a Yachtic World flotilla event (such as the 2026 Croatia Flotilla) or a yacht charter arranged by us with a charter fleet operator. Sections 1 to 10 apply to all bookings. Part A adds flotilla-specific terms; Part B adds charter-specific terms. By submitting a booking request and paying a deposit, you ("Guest") accept these Terms for yourself and everyone in your party.
1. Making a booking
- A booking exists when we receive (a) your completed booking or reservation form and (b) the required payment, paid securely via Stripe. A form without payment does not hold a cabin or a vessel.
- We confirm every booking by email within 48 hours of receiving payment. If we cannot confirm (for example, the cabin or vessel is no longer available), your payment is refunded in full.
- Prices are stated in US dollars. The person making the booking must be at least 18 and is responsible for the accuracy of the information for the whole party.
2. Payments
- Payments are processed by Stripe; Yachtic World does not store full card numbers.
- The deposit amount, balance amount, and due dates for your booking are stated in Part A or Part B below and in your confirmation email.
- If a balance is not received by its due date, we may treat the booking as cancelled by the Guest and the applicable cancellation policy applies.
3. Travel documents & insurance
- Guests must hold a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the trip end date and are responsible for their own visa or entry requirements for the destination country.
- Travel insurance is required for all bookings, covering trip cancellation, trip interruption, medical treatment abroad, and emergency evacuation. By booking, you warrant that you will hold adequate insurance for the full duration of the trip. We may ask to see proof of coverage. Yachtic World does not sell or provide insurance.
4. Assumption of risk, waiver & liability
- Sailing, swimming, and water activities involve inherent risks, including injury, drowning, and weather hazards. By booking, each guest voluntarily assumes these risks.
- Each guest must sign our Liability Waiver and Release before boarding (a parent or legal guardian signs for guests under 18). A guest who refuses to sign may not board, and the applicable cancellation policy applies.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yachtic World LLC's total liability for any claim arising from a booking is limited to the amount that guest paid to Yachtic World.
- Yachtic World is not liable for the acts or omissions of independent suppliers (charter fleet operators, skippers engaged by an operator, restaurants, marinas, transfer providers).
5. Itinerary, weather & safety
- All itineraries are indicative. Routes, anchorages, and daily plans may change due to weather, sea state, marina availability, or safety. Such changes are not grounds for a refund.
- The skipper (ours, the operator's, or the qualified Guest on a bareboat charter) has final authority over the vessel at all times. Guests must follow safety instructions.
- We may remove a guest whose conduct endangers the vessel, crew, or other guests, without refund.
6. Alcohol & drugs
- Alcohol is prohibited while the vessel is under way (during sailing hours). Alcohol may be consumed only after the vessel is secured for the day - docked in a marina, at anchor for the night, or moored at a restaurant pier - and always in moderation.
- Drugs are prohibited in any form for the entire duration of the trip, on board and ashore. This includes substances that may be legal elsewhere (for example, marijuana products, which are illegal in Croatia). There are no exceptions. Prescription medication for personal medical use is permitted; tell us about any medication relevant to your safety.
- The skipper may inspect compliance and has final say. Violation of this section - or refusal to follow the skipper's related instructions - is grounds for immediate removal from the trip under Section 5, without refund, and the guest is responsible for their own onward travel and costs.
- Guests are reminded that local law applies at all times: drug offenses and intoxicated operation of a vessel are criminal matters in Croatia and other destinations, and any fines or legal consequences are solely the guest's responsibility.
7. Force majeure
If a trip or charter is prevented or materially disrupted by events beyond our reasonable control (extreme weather, natural disaster, epidemic, government action, war, strikes, fleet-operator failure), we may reschedule or offer a credit toward a future booking. Refunds are provided only to the extent we recover corresponding amounts from our suppliers.
8. Photos & media
Photos and video taken during our trips may be used for Yachtic World marketing, as described in Section 3 of our Privacy Policy. You may opt out as described there.
9. Minors
Guests under 18 are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the entire trip. The parent or legal guardian signs the Liability Waiver and Release on the minor's behalf and is responsible for the minor's safety and conduct at all times.
10. General
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA. Any dispute shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Virginia.
- If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. These Terms, the applicable Part below, your confirmation email, and (for charters) the operator's charter agreement are the entire agreement.
Part A - Flotilla bookings (Yachtic World events)
Applies to flotilla events operated by Yachtic World, including the 2026 Croatia Flotilla, September 26 - October 3, 2026, from Trogir, Croatia.
A1. Price, deposit & payment schedule
- Price: $2,800 per person, double occupancy, per cabin.
- Booking more than 3 months (90 days) before departure: a deposit of $1,200 per person secures your place. The remaining balance is due no later than 90 days before departure.
- Booking 90 days or fewer before departure: full payment of the trip price is due at booking. Deposits are not accepted in this period.
- Cabins are limited and allocated in the order payments are received.
A2. Cancellations & refunds (flotilla)
Cancellations must be emailed to [email protected] by the person who made the booking. A cancellation takes effect on the next business day after we receive your email.
| Cancellation received | Charge |
|---|---|
| More than 90 days before departure | Deposit ($1,200 per person) is forfeited; any other amounts paid are refunded. |
| 90 days or fewer before departure | 100% of the booking cost is forfeited. |
- If your reason for cancelling is covered by your travel insurance, you may be able to reclaim these charges from your insurer. This is why insurance is required (Section 3).
- Free transfer: instead of cancelling, you may transfer your booking to a replacement guest at no charge, with written notice to us before departure. The replacement guest must meet the requirements of these Terms.
- If we cancel a flotilla for any reason other than force majeure, you receive a full refund of all amounts paid to Yachtic World. We are not responsible for airfare or other costs you incur.
A3. What's included / not included (flotilla)
Included: shared catamaran accommodation (double-occupancy cabin with en-suite head), professional skipper, provisioning kitty for onboard meals, group social events as described on the trip page, snorkeling gear and water toys, daily sailing instruction on request, tourist tax, and marina fees.
Not included: airfare and travel to/from the departure base, travel insurance, passport/visa costs, two group dinners held ashore in marinas (paid individually by guests), other meals ashore, personal expenses, and crew gratuities.
No sailing experience or license is required for flotilla guests.
Part B - Yacht charter bookings (arranged with fleet operators)
Applies when Yachtic World arranges a bareboat, skippered, or crewed charter for you with a third-party charter fleet operator (the "Operator").
B1. Our role
- Yachtic World acts as your booking agent. The charter itself is provided by the Operator under the Operator's charter agreement, which you (or the lead charterer) will be asked to sign. Where these Terms and the Operator's agreement conflict regarding the vessel, the Operator's agreement controls.
- Vessel specifications, availability, base services, and equipment are the Operator's responsibility. We select reputable Operators but do not own or operate the vessels.
B2. Charter payments
- 50% of the charter fee is due on the date set by the Operator at booking. The Operator issues the payment schedule for the remaining balance, which we pass to you in your booking confirmation. Due dates in that schedule are binding.
- A refundable security deposit is payable to the Operator at the base before embarkation (amount depends on the vessel; stated in your confirmation). It covers loss or damage during the charter and is returned per the Operator's terms.
- Damage waiver: if the Operator offers a damage waiver or deposit insurance, you may purchase it directly from the Operator. Yachtic World does not offer or sell any damage waiver.
- Extras payable locally (examples): fuel, mooring outside the base marina, outboard, final cleaning where not included, skipper or hostess fees if added.
B3. Qualifications (bareboat charters)
- For bareboat charters, the lead charterer must hold a license accepted in the charter country (for Croatia: an ICC or accepted national equivalent plus a VHF radio certificate) and present it at the base. If the base rejects your qualifications at check-in, the Operator's cancellation terms apply - verify your license with us before booking.
- If you prefer not to skipper, we can arrange a professional skipper at an additional daily fee.
B4. Cancellations & refunds (charter)
- Cancellations must be emailed to [email protected]. A cancellation takes effect on the next business day after we receive your email.
- Charter cancellations follow the Operator's cancellation schedule, stated in your booking confirmation before you pay. Refunds are made to the extent the Operator refunds the amounts paid.
- Yachtic World's service and agency fee is included in the refunded price: whatever the Operator refunds is passed to you in full; we do not retain a separate cancellation fee.
- Rebooking to different dates or vessels is subject to the Operator's availability and terms.
B5. Vessel handover
- Check-in and check-out times, inventory check, and fuel policy are set by the Operator's base. Report any defects at check-in; the vessel must be returned in the condition received, with the agreed fuel level.
